Mike has been involved with German Shepherds since 1981. He joined the Police force in 1984 and became a K9 officer in 1985. In 1996, Mike became the head trainer for the Marion County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit and oversees the training for 16 dogs.
 

Mike became a member of United Schutzhund Clubs of America in 1992 and has titled many dogs. He is the chairman of the USA K9 committee and also the director and head trainer for O.G. Indianapolis Schutzhund und Polizei. O.G. Indy also has several excellent helpers.
